Health Economics and Skin Disease
Overview
This chapter contains a brief introduction to the basic methods of health economic analysis followed by a presentation of the results of international cost‐of‐illness studies for psoriasis and skin cancer. The validity of the presented results and limitations in their comparison are discussed. In conclusion, the impact of health economic findings on decision making in dermatology practice is discussed.
